Question

Magnifying an image causes LR to hang for a long time

I can browse through my images in full screen (press "f") mode, but when I click to zoom, the application hangs for a long time until the "Close the program"dialog appears.

This is immensly annoying, as it's quicker and easier to use Windows Explorer to browse and magnify the images.

I've attached a screen shot.

Try resetting your Lightroom preferences:

Quit Lightroom Classic.
macOS: Press and hold the Shift + Option keys.
Windows: Press and hold the Shift + Alt keys.
While holding down the keys, launch Lightroom Classic.
When asked, select "Yes".

This did not work.

It hangs for up to 30 minutes each time.

The application is unusable like this 😞

Please, Copy / Paste  your 'System Info', which can be obtained from the Lr Classic 'Help > System Info' menu item.
