Nikon Z50 II compatability

I'm thinking that LR Classic has not been updated to accept Nikon Z50 II files...am I right?  Presently I'm getting "Preview unavailable for this file."  I got the same files in my Ipad LR app yesterday no problem!

Correct answer Ian Lyons

The Nikon Z50 II is not currently supported by LrC or LrD. However, the November release of Camera Raw (17.01) does support the the Z50 II, albeit it's listed as 'Preliminary'.

The Nikon Z 50 II is supported by LR Classic, but the entry in Cameras Supported By Camera Raw is garbled and obviously incorrect. I reported it to Rikk Flohr a week ago:

https://community.adobe.com/t5/camera-raw-discussions/p-new-camera-raw-file-support-requests-amp-information/m-p/14997627/page/9#M26456

"I think it has something to do with the high efficiency RAW recording. If I pick lossless I can import but can't with high efficiency."

That's what others have observed:

The camera ships with High Efficiency* set by default, but LR only supports Lossless.

Seeing the same issue with mine also. I think it has something to do with the high efficiency RAW recording. If I pick lossless I can import but can't with high efficiency. But like you I could on my iPad. I have download the new codec from Nikon but that didn't help. High efficiency should be supported since the new Z cameras have had it for a while now. Could be the camera raw support is listed as Preliminary support on Adobe's site. Hope they fix it soon. I changed it for one of my custom settings but didn't chage it for the others and can't import my newest images.

Just tried to convert to DNG with Adobe's app...nope!
