Trying to remove a lens glare circle from a pefectly blue sky leaves a definite circle clearly visible - so not good in these circumstances

1. Try selecting a much larger circle around the lens glare.
2. If you applied Remove on top of an AI mask (e.g. Sky or Subject mask), do the menu command Settings > Update AI Settings to recompute the mask.
3. If this doesn't help, please attach a full-resolution JPEG exported from the unmodified original photo (not a screenshot). With nearly every one of the many dozen problem photos posted here, we've been able to show how to quickly remove the desired objects.

I find since the update, that when I select 1 of 3 results for generatove AI remove - once I generate it changes the result and I cannot get it back. It seems to have lost what was amazing.

Can you provide more details of what you're seeing, preferably a short screen recording attached to your reply?

Generative AI Remove's variations are working in my LR the same as they always have, but I may not be understanding what you're seeing.

Hello,
I edited a RAW file at home in Lr and sent it to someone else to continue editing (no export to JPEG or TIFF, just the RAW file). When the other person opens the file in their Lr, all the edits are active and can be modified, but the edits made with AI only have a flat color, as if generative deletion only works for me… Can you help me with this?
Thanks!

If you did Metadata > Save Metadata To File on the raw before sending it, and then sent it and it's .xmp sidecar (if it's not DNG) to the other person, then they should be able to select the photo in Develop and do the menu command Settings > Update AI Settings. That will recompute all AI masks, including those for Remove.
A more reliable way of sharing raws is to select the photo and do File > Export As Catalog, selecting the options Export Selected Photos Only and Export Negative Files. Then zip up the exported catalog folder and send it along. That will include the previously computed AI masks.

Thank you for your reply, I did several tests and it turns out that we were using 2 different versions of Lr (Classic and Cloud), it seems to be buggy at this level... on the other hand when there are 2 Lr Classic it's perfect it works very well!

I suggest making the Generative AI removal tool e better at erasing text

Please attach a full-resolution JPEG exported from the unmodified original photo (not a screenshot) showing where Remove doesn't do a good job on the text -- that will show more clearly what the issue is.

Hello Rick, it´s been a while since an error appears when I use the generatuve remove, at first it works perfectly but when I ccontinue working and come back to the photo it says I have to update. I Update it, but the same error appears. I already updated lr to the latest version and give permission to access the disk. I dont know what else to do.
Im working with a Macbook pro.
Hope there´s a solution since this is my work tool.
Thanks, Ana

This is happening to me as well and it's been days! I've tried all their suggestions. No avail! I've lost so much time over editing, then updating, and updating and updating. Everything just resets again!

I would really like them to add a batch remove feature. For example I shot an event where multiple people walk up to a podium, take something, and leave. I cannot have a tripod, there's and EXIT sign in ugly bright green above every person. Because I'm handheld, I can't simply remove one, and then sync to apply to all, because the position of the sign moves slightly. Ai should be able to recognize the shape of basic objects like a giant EXIT sign, and "move"/reposition where the removal is happening within the image. It should recognize the object and adjust positioning for batch removal processing. Thanks!

Do us all a favor. When removing an item, it's typically in the center of our frame. The progress bar appears RIGHT OVER the object we're trying to remove. I know it's movable, but can we keep it off the image? It's only purpose at this point is to be in the way! Also, it would speed things up considerably if you could make the "remove" button appear next to the last item selected for removal.

To help, we'll need a lot more details about what you're doing and what you see (or don't see). Full-resolution screenshots (not phone pics) can be very helpful.

nctionne pas avec des cables électriques dans un ciel uniforme. Rien ne se passe avec aucune variante.

@Bernard22916504bp0y: "does not work with power cables in a uniform sky."
1. Uncheck Detect Objects before brushing a selection -- it doesn't work well, especially with skinny objects and along the edges of photos.
2. After clicking Remove, check that the Opacity slider is 100 -- LR infrequently changes it to something else.
3. If you applied Remove on top of an AI mask (e.g. Sky or Subject mask), do the menu command Settings > Update AI Settings to recompute the mask.
4. See this short article for how to remove objects more reliably:
https://www.lightroomqueen.com/generative-remove-replace/
Most complaints about Remove are addressed in the article. But if it doesn't help, please attach a full-resolution JPEG exported from the unmodified original photo (not a screenshot). With nearly every one of the many dozen problem photos posted here, we've been able to show how to quickly remove the desired objects. Power cables are no exception -- once you learn the tool, they nearly always remove easily.
