Lightroom Classic versjon: 14.4
Operativsystem: Mac OS 15
As of this new version I am not able to denoise a batch of photos, only individual ones. Can't find any guidance as to how this can be fixed. Hope you can help me, thanks.
Select the images to be Denoised, enable Auto Sync, then click on the Denoise checkbox. You can use the slider below the Denoise checkbox to fine tune the amount of noise reduction applied to all or individual images in real time.
In Lightroom Classic, there are 5 ways Batch editing can be realized.
In Lightroom Desktop, your 2 options are:
Lightroom Desktop does not have Sync, Auto-Sync, or Previous.
For more information, please refer to this video by @brianmatiash, in which he demonstrates these options and provides additional context.

No then you still have to auto AI update each freaking photo, and the should you edit, it wants you to update AI again, what a pain in the rear.

There is a bug in LrD where Denoise isn't being applied properly and yes, because of this, some photos need an AI Update. It is not intended to be like this.

After Copy/Paste (Based on YouTube linked) , I got a serious bug that image is destroyed. I don't have ever this experience. I am spending a lot of time. Very bad software

Not enough information. Your comment is too vague for anyone to reasonably answer.
LrC/Lr never 'destroy' an image. You can always Undo or Reset edits.

Hi @abjamne, I'm Sorry to hear about your issue, we're here to help.
Could you please share more details about the issue you're experiencing? For example:
You can try these steps out in the meantime for a quick fix and see if they make any difference:
1) Try turning off your GPU. You can refer to this Helpx article for steps and further information: Troubleshoot GPU issues | Lightroom Classic
2) Reset Lightroom preferences: Corrupted preferences can sometimes cause unexpected behavior. To reset them, hold Option + Shift while launching Lightroom Classic.
Let us know how it goes!
Cheers!

This issue is with the new update, the Denoise function is very difficult to work with!!!! Please revert back!!! There were no issues with this feature; it performed amazingly, and now it is horrible to use with multiple photos

AGREED! I am TEARING my hair out right now. This is a MAJOR change and it's HORRIBLE. Adobe has destroyed batch denoise. I cannot do ANYTHING with this garbage. I edit pictures for my job and I'm about to throw my computer across the room.

Go to the creative cloud app, click the apps tab on the left, scroll to Lightroom, hit the three dots, click "other versions", click install on the previous version that had the old style Denoise, live with the fact it's going to tell you there's an update from now on.

Thank you for confirming my belief that Lightroom has dropped the ability to bulk denoise files. I don't know why they don't vet this through even 10 users. I would do it for free and tell them that it is a downgrade, not an upgrade.
I'm still using vs. 14.3.1 until this is fixed!

This simply isn't true. You can bulk denoise many photos with one operation in both Lightroom and Lightroom Classic. A simple search would have found this: https://community.adobe.com/t5/lightroom-classic-discussions/p-how-do-i-batch-edit-denoise-june-upda... and many other places where this is explained. They didn't drop the feature and there is nothing to fix.

You can apply Denoise to a batch of photos in both LR Classic and LR Desktop. See this pinned reply at the top of this thread from Adobe employee Rikk Flohr:

Hey Noel,
Have you and the rest of the Adobe team heard our complaints? Everyone hates the "upgraded" version of AI NR, and there is no workaround. The reason we despise it is because it takes up to 30 seconds PER PHOTO to apply, and we can do any other Lr associated work while that process is running. The previous version allowed us to continue. Pretty simple and clear rationale in our concerns for this backlash. Unfortunately, it seems like y'all either ignore the frustrations over the brutal slowdown in workflow, gloss over it, or provide bogus alternatives that actually do not remedy the issue. The only upside to the new version that there is no intermediate step of creating massive DNG files, but in retrospect, I (and many others, apparently) prefer that to what we have now. Can you either revert to the older process or improve the new one so we're not wasting the AI NR time where locks up the entire program? And if not, why not? Thank you.

@seanson28, you've posted in a thread about how to apply Denoise to a batch of photos. You should instead post your feedback in the relevant feature-request thread, "Bring back the ability of Enhance to run in the background", which has become one of the more popular recent feature requests. Be sure to add your upvote in the upper-left corner.

Hi,
I kind of like the idea, not to have two images / files when using the enhance feature. But: with the new update I really miss the possibility to use enhance in the batch mode for different images at once. So please re-introduce the "batch-mode" for enhance.

Thank you for your reply, but: where do I find the auto sync feature in Lightroom (not classic)? I posted the question in the Lightroom section here but it was pushed into this thread.

Why did it change?
I've always edited photos, then labeled it with the photo's i wanted to denoise, i made a denoise at the end, Which were DNG's so i can move them to a different folder which has AI work done. Then export those.

Hello Lightroom Community,
I've noticed a change with the new update regarding the AI Denoise feature. It appears that while Denoise AI is running on one photo, Lightroom prevents any work on other images until the process is complete.
Previously, we could continue culling, editing, or working on other tasks. This new behavior is very inconvenient, especially for those of us who process many images, as it forces us to wait idly. It's a significant disruption to an efficient workflow.
Hoping this is something Adobe can look into.

The Denoise dialog in 14.3.1 and earlier is modal. This means that you could do nothing with the app until the dialog wass closed.

No, the previous version allowed me to do that. While Denoise was running, I could work on other photos and even do a double denoise concurrently

By @Ian Lyons
The difference is in how long the modal window blocks use of Lightroom Classic. I understand the frustration others are expressing, after doing some batches myself.
Up to Lightroom Classic 14.3.1:
You select a bunch of images, open the modal Enhance dialog box, set the options, and close it. If it took you 5 seconds to do that, the modal dialog box was open for 5 seconds. After you apply and close the dialog box it begins batch processing in the background, so if that takes an hour, you can get another hour of Lightroom Classic work done in the foreground.
So:
Total modal dialog box open time, 5 seconds.
Total work you can do in Lightroom Classic while it's processing: An hour of productivity.
In Lightroom Classic 14.4:
You select a bunch of images and click Denoise. The modal progress window opens, and stays open as long as it takes to process all selected images. If it takes an hour, Lightroom Classic cannot be used during that hour because it is blocked by the modal progress window.
So:
Total modal dialog box open time, 1 hour.
Total work you can do in Lightroom Classic while it's processing: None. Work in another app or walk away for an hour.
I don’t want to go back to the old way because the new way is definitely better and more interactive, and uses much less storage space because it no longer creates the unnecessary clutter of denoised copies. But I also hope a way is found to let batch processing of Denoise happen in the background, because that’s how it works when batch processing all other Develop settings.

Gracias.
