P: Identity Plate does not retain font and color choices after update (Windows)

I used to use two different fonts, colors and text sizes in the identity plate, after the update it only shows one font, singular color and all in the same size.

On the edit screen it looks like it looked before and should look.

Thanks so much for reporting this. I just tested it on my MacBook using Lightroom Classic 14.4, and the Identity Plate seems to be working correctly; it’s retaining different fonts, sizes, and colors.

To help us narrow this down, could you kindly share:

• A screenshot of your Identity Plate settings (showing the different fonts, sizes, and colors you selected), and

• A screenshot of how it actually appears in the app now?

Also, have you tried resetting Lightroom Classic preferences to see if that helps, or tried creating a fresh plate settings after a fresh restart of your system?

Before doing this step, just make sure you have a backup and your work is synced to the cloud (if applicable).

Is it a bug or is this what is occuring (listed a new in the update):

• Identity Plate (Windows only) new/updated text Identity Plates can only use a single text style. Previously, you could have different fonts, colors, or sizes for different text selections. If you want to do that now, just create a PNG file in Photoshop to use as a graphical Identity Plate.

The team has confirmed that this is not a bug but rather an intentional change. I have asked for a better explanation, but for now, I am moving this back to discussions.

So a Windows exclusive feature? Apple users will be so angry they are missing out and still get exactly what they see when they set it up..

But maybe only fair, as we Android users still miss the feature of the removed editing in landscape on mobile devices.

Awe man, it was intentionally broken? I had come to rely on this as a nice, quick way of adding advanced text to my exported images. It was driving me bonkerss figuring out why it was not working as the fonts display properly when you edit them. That is pretty sloppy development. The function is kind of half removed. The text shows that it is formatted with multiple styles when you go into the edit function but then it just ignores it all when it is supposed to use it. I am not impressed. 😞
