rating problem

lightroom 13.1 is not showing 100 % of the photo that i rated from the camera.
example- I rated 100 pieces photos in cam ,but after import to lightroom it only showed 60 or 70 pieces rated photos,or even less,but in cam it still shows 100 pieces rated.

I am currently using conon  5d mk 4, eos r and eos r6 mk ii .
All of the cameras showed up same problem.

    What were your ratings? 0 thru 5? or more?

    My bad, you did mention what cameras, and on-line, they only rate up to five, so not the issue

     

    Moving on, check that you are not filtering based on rating, say for example less than 5 stars, etc.

    usually i rate 1 star in cam. for example,i rated 100 pieces 1 star in cam,but it only showed out like 70 pieces with the 1 star after import into lr or even less

    yes  ,that was what i ment. any idea how to solve this?thanks

     


    • Are you shooting RAW+JPEG? Are some of the non rated imports JPEG as opposed to RAW (orthe otehr way around) ? That is in camera star rating being applied to just the RAW or just the JPEG?
    • Not familiar with the Camera Specs. Do these cameras have dual slots? Are some images on card 1 being rated, the other not?
    • Oh, one issue, in a Canon, is the in camerra star rating embedded into the image, or written to a side car file on s specific card? (Ref 1)
    • Do you apply a preset during import. Does it involve metadata? (Ref 2)
