Slow when using Masks

Hello ,

So much pc is bit dated but think shuld do the job , have a 3700x with 3060 , 64gb ram and working in nvme only . When i work , benchmark in background tell me 40% cpu usage and gpd , but lightroom slow down incredibile when making, it ages to do anything ,is very frustrating . I was thinking to upgrade to a 5900x , but I don't think my cpu is the problem . Any advice?

Masking actions can be slow to respond with a pen and not with a mouse. The reason for this is unknown - I have had this since release 14.0. The clunky workaround is to choose an action (brush, whatever), lift the pen away from the tablet and the action occurs. It is a matter of defocus-refocus. Reported to Adobe, extensive troubleshooting, up-escalated for their research with videos of the problem....and still with 14.2 no improvement.

Again, using the mouse to accomplish tasks was perfect, instantaneous. Pen so slow that it didn't actually work....unless you lift and replace the pen, defocus, refocus.

This should not be the problem, BUT

That Logi Plugin, (a.k.a Logi Options) I assume for a Logitech mouse and/or keyboard with extra buttons/dials to use to assign LrC actions to, is a known piece of trash. Typically it causes an error when removing photos in batch. (you would get An internal error has occurred: ?:0: attempt to index field 'root file' (a nil value) and LR will not delete the files.) If you do not need it to use your Mouse or keyboard as a substitute for a LoupeDeck (or other) then consider trashing it and see if things improve. Mind yo, it would have been causing the same issue during earlier versions of LrC. Note that this is not the driver for the Mouse or Keyboard.

How much free space in percent on that D drive, that hard drive? Looking for at least 25% free (some say 20%)

Those logi plug in are part of the loupedeq board, I just removed the update the loupede and they back on .

I'm going to check what is happening in the next couple day, today was a pain editing , I'll see tomorrow my this update will help and I'll try to work without loupede and see if any difference . Thanks for now
