P: Ability to export 4K video

Since 2015, there are no more interesting inovations. I think it's an insolence that Lightroom can not export 4k video. That can't be a challenge for a programmer to provide a corresponding function. The are a lot of users asked for the support of PSB files in Lightroom, but Adobe do nothing. Adobe must be ashamed that file formats from their own house are not supported. For me is also a big mystery why Photoshop write  a file of more that 3GB for a picture with 2 layers. There are still a lot to do but Adobe presents us again and again only small chunks. I do not know how much longer I want to pay for it.

I feel confused as a customer.

Hello everyone,

The MAX release for Adobe Photography products includes an update addressing the requested feature.

If the update isn’t visible in your Creative Cloud app, refresh it using [Ctrl/Cmd] + [Alt/Opt] + [R].

Please note: It may take up to 24 hours for the update to appear.

Thank you for your continued patience.

I agree Christopher LR is in the stone age without 4k and still not having full support for PSB files . .  Why make updates when these basic functions are left out ?

I'm on the edge of leaving Adobe too which also makes me a very bad ambassador for Adobe products as well.

UNHAPPY CUSTOMER Adobe . .

PS My customers not happy with my 1080 HD Lightroom presentations = me not having money for Lightroom or wanting to use Lightroom.

Your post has already been merged with the existing feature request in the forum's Ideas section, for 4K slideshow video. It's one of the more popular feature requests, with 41 upvotes. (Unfortunately, it's also eight years old.) Make sure you click the upvote button at the very top of the thread if you haven't already.

What a bottleneck not having slideshow 4k video truly representative of what Lightroom produces in its Development Module.

Lightroom creates beautiful images . .  then shoots itself in the foot by disabling standard 4k presentation.

Lightroom scores high with fotographers for its smooth creative, easy worklow and tools but what's the use when this workflow is strangled at the last leg ?

How can I recommend LRC to others when this final basic workflow building block is missing ?

Lightroom is for photographers not for software geeks who don't mind transferring things from one program to another and having things saved all over the place.

Keep Lightroom an easy smooth workhorse for people who love photography not wrestling with software jumping and filesystem complexity.

I keep going round in circles.  I clck on your link and eventually it takes me back to here.  Where is this "more serious" update suggestions forum ?

Please improve slideshow video quality.  The current HD quality doesn't carry the detailed beauty of photographs painstakingly created in the Develop Module.

Slideshows are a perfect way of showcasing what Lightroom can do in photo series streamed over websites and social media and presentations to customers and family and friends.

Please unleash this potential so Lightroom can shine out and not be restricted to either single shot presentations or poor quailty slide shows that don't represent it's true ability to make images shine.

It's not lightroom based, but I actually ended up creating a slideshow extension for Premiere Pro (largely because of the lack of support for this) - https://aescripts.com/swift-slides/

It's so backward that this is still not a feature, it must be a commercial decision by Adobe not to support 4k slideshow export to encourage people to use other more complex apps. Except in my case it backfires on them. If Lightroom supported 4k slideshow export on Windows and Mac I'd have been able to get clients to buy into Adobe = more customers for Adobe. But as it won't, they choose different solutions - which of course are not by Adobe.
