P: Bring back histogram gridlines

I would like the histogram gridlines (present in earlier versions) to be brought back. The current histogram is a step backwards in terms of usability.

Gridlines allow us to visualise in a clear manner where the channel values are placed, so that we are able to ensure consistency between photos.

(Refer to the image below, ignore the red circles.)

You're not the only one to be anoyed, grid lines were super useful to me for the same reasons as other mentioned. At least, they could have made them optional !

They already did modify the Histogram back part way from that HDR debacle

And speaking of the Histogram and members request for change and/or bug reports, Adobe did fix those in v13.0.1 (HDR//SDR),  v13.1 (Darker)

So, just one more step back.

Another word he might have considered using is "demand". I sincerely doubt that most users have a problem at all with whichever histogram implementation Adobe provides; and Adobe is unlikely to care about a handful of discontented souls, when - for most - the histogram still does its job.

Change for the sake of it?

"The histogram gridlines help me ensure the edits I make result in photos with a consistent look."

So you don't do that by reference to the image? I do - works great: and it takes tiny (and arguably largely irrelevant) changes in the histogram's appearance, out of the equation.

Besides, you pretty much admit yourself that - while you imagine there's a better histogram just round the corner - the current one still works.

So - again - what's Adobe's incentive here? Adapting to small changes is actually pretty easy...

An important word Shilton used is "consistency." The histogram gridlines help me ensure the edits I make result in photos with a consistent look. While the updated new histogram is easier to read than it was before, it still isn't as good as the old histogram.

Adobe Techs

(yes I know probably not going to be noticed)

Please finish fixing this issue. Otherwise this one will become just as irritating as the  DONE issue (that will never be reverted)

While I disagree with the Bring Done back group, and would like to see that discussion locked down, I do agree that ADOBE fouled up the Histogram big time.
