I have concluded that the only way to find a photo with a certain name in the Original Filename field is to use the "Any Filter" plug-in by John Ellis.

What is Adobe thinking by not enabling searches on Original Filename with the Library Filter: Text> Any Searchable Field? This omission is most maddening!

I cannot believe i can't locate an image by it's file name in a software designed to catalog images.

Of course Lightroom Classic can find files by file name.

Have you tried ‘Any searchable field’ in the filter bar? If that doesn’t work, then apparently that field is not searchable.

Hi DRF1000,

Once the image is renamed in Lightroom, I don't think you can search by the original filename. However, It seems like a great idea, could you share this as a feature request here?

Hi,

I made a large number of changes to the names in my library, and would like to do a search based on the original filename to find images. I found a plugin (AnyFilter - http://www.johnrellis.com/) which allows me to search a number of different fields, but Original Filename is not one of them.

I was hoping someone could help me out with the SQL required to copy the Original Filename within the database directly to some field that would be searchable? I understand how to open and execute SQL against the lightroom database, I'm just not familiar enough with the lightroom db schema to write this myself.

Thanks in advance!
