P: Split WB Sliders

Hi probably my idea is too weird but I was thinking to the white balance sliders, on Lr and LrC, and something cross my mind when I starting using more frequently in Ps "blend if " option. Wouldn't it be easier and practical to have the Kelvin slider with two arrows or buttons that can I split (as they are structured in blend if) to add or remore yellow or blue within the part that I'm working with??
example: while masking sky, I can decide that on the darkest part of the sky add more yellow and on the lightest adding a hint of blue.
A cloudy sky normally isn't too blue or too yellow, is a mix of colors, with dominants yellow, blue and so on, so a single slider is not enough, to be creative. I think adding option to split it will give more room to creators to enhance colors.

Wouldn't the 'Colour Grading' do the same thing - adjusting the Midtones, Highlights and Shadows, and isn't it more effective? I use the Colour Grading to enhance certain colours in the midtones, shadows and highlights.

White balance is a technical thing. It is a single value for the entire image and cannot be split. But color grading and point color (if needed in a mask) should give you plenty options to achieve what you want.
