Hi Guys,

Can't find how to do this but a client has asked for a Dublin Core schema for the exported metadata.

Anyone got a clue or does a standard export cover this?

I have 4000 images to export.

Thanks

Jon

Dublin Core metadata provides a standardized set of conventions for describing assets to make them easier to find. In AEM Assets, the Dublin Core describes digital assets including video, sound, images, and documents.

The simple Dublin Core Metadata Element Set (DCMES) contains 15 metadata elements as listed in the following table. Each Dublin Core element is optional and can be repeated. You can add or delete Dublin Core metadata information as you would for media type-specific metadata.

In addition to the DCMES, there are other metadata elements created by the Dublin Core Initiative. See the Dublin Core Initiative for more information.

Without knowing in more detail what the client's concerns are, it isn't possible to give a simple answer.

Lightroom does use the Dublin Core schema for some of the metadata fields it exports, but it uses other schema and metadata standards as well. In general, it follows the technical specifications established by the Metadata Working Group's Guidelines for Handling Image Metadata version 2, which incorporates some but not all of the Dublin Core fields.  LR stores these fields in the XMP, IPTC, and EXIF metadata sections within the exported file.

This table shows which fields from the Dublin Core Metadata Element Set are incorporated by the MWG spec and where those fields show up in the LR Metadata panel:
