P: OnePlus13 and OnePlus12 raw photos are stretched

Community Beginner ,

Hi I have noticed recently that all my raw photos from my phone are being stretched horizontally on import to lightroom mobile app for android. I have never had this problem before. The pics are unusable if editing on lightroom now. Can't fix the aspect ratio or the crop. Anyone else having this problem with raw files, and has anyone found a solution?

Hi @courageous_adventurer6238! Welcome to the community!

That's really odd. Could you let us know what version of Lightroom Mobile you're using and what phone model? Does this issue only happen with photos taken with your camera? Are you using your phone's camera app or Lightroom's in-app camera to take these photos? If possible, could you share screenshots of this happening or a sample file so we can test it on our end?

Thank you so much!

Alek

Thanks for the reply. It seems to have just started doing this. I'm using Oneplus 13. I got the phone about a month ago. I only started having this problem over the last couple of weeks. Pictures taken in raw on oneplus 13 prior to that worked fine in LR. I am using app version 10.2.1 I will attach some pictures below showing how they look in the phone gallery app and then how LR changes them when trying to edit. I have lowered the file size in order to post here. Also I am using the camera app on the phone not the one in LR.

Hello,  I have the exact same issue with my OnePlus13.  I've just came back from vacation with 1000s of images and looking at the photo on the phone is great.  Put if I import them into lightroom or transfer then to a PC, then the JPG are fine but all the RAW images .dng are stretched and unusable.

I have tried regular mode JPG, this is fine.

Tried the master mode in JPG, this is fine

Tried the master mode in RAW, looking at the image on the phone is OK or cast them to a TV with a wire cable is OK, import or view on any other application will stretched the image and make them very ugly.

I don't have a solution for you, but wanted to add more info to your message.

The only work around that I have found at this time is to EDIT the photo using the OnePlus Editor, do a small modification, like crop and then save the image to JPG, then it can be open in any application including LightRoom.  But this is very tedious and negate all the advantage of shooting RAW.

Hope we can find a solution to this issue.  I don't think it's a Lightroom problem but more a OnePlus issue with the rendering or manipulation of the .dng file.

Please provide an update if you find something, it will be greatly appreciated.  Thank you,

Thanks for the reply. I hope that they will figure out a solution to this quickly. I have a wedding shoot coming up in a week. I don't use my phone as a primary, but I do use it for some backup shots and I am hoping it will be fixed before that. Probably wishful thinking. Either that or I will have to invest in a different editing software. I think the issue is it seems like the phone is shooting raw shots with a wider lense and then cropping it in the metadata, which is not being read by lightroom. So lightroom is showing the wider shot and not processing it correctly. I say this because I noticed more details in the pictures on each side including top and bottom than appear when viewing the photos in the phone gallery.

Here are the files before they were opened in lightroom. I couldn't attach the originals because it wouldn't allow posting the dng file.

Hello, I also have this problem with the oneplus 12

I have raw photos that are "pressed" in lightroom with height and can't adjust anywhere.
