Denoise working for some medium-sized lossless compressed raw files on Sony camera (ARW)

The other day I took a bunch of photos in the Lossless Comp (M) RAW Medium-sized format on my Sony A7RV. When I went to go edit those photos today, I noticed that some of the photos have the ability to perform denoising on in Lightroom, but say "Denoise is not currently compatible with this photo format".

I read this post that suggests that all medium-sized lossless compressed files shot on Sony cameras are incompatible with the denoising feature in Lightroom. However, I found that I was able to use the denoise feature on some photos, but not all.

It doesn't make much sense to me that all my photos were shot in the same format, yet only some of them are able to use the denoise feature. Why would this work for some photos but not all of them?

Example photo where denoise feature does NOT work:

TYPO edit: the end of the last sentence on the first paragraph should read:

but other photos say "Denoise is not currently compatible with this photo format".
