Fixed: Missing Images and Presets after Lightroom Mobile 5.4 update

So, Lightroom automatically updated and I lost everything I had until this morning when I last used it.

 

I hope theres a way to recover my work back.

Hi all,

 

We are aware of an issue related to the latest release of Lightroom mobile (5.4.0) on iOS and iPadOS. The team is investigating and we’ll share an update with affected customers as soon as possible. If you have not installed the 5.4 update, please do not update. If you have installed the 5.4 update, do not launch the app. Also do not delete and try to re-install the app. We are rolling out a 5.4.1 update to resolve this issue.

We are aware that some customers who updated to Lightroom 5.4.0 on iPhone and iPad may be missing photos and presets that were not synced to the Lightroom cloud. 

A new version of Lightroom mobile (5.4.1) for iOS and iPadOS has now been released that prevents this issue from affecting additional customers. 

Installing version 5.4.1 will not restore missing photos or presets for customers affected by the problem introduced in 5.4.0.

아이폰11에서 라이트룸 무료버전을 오랫동안 사용 중이었습니다.

어제 어플을 열어보니 2018년 이후, 최근에 작업한 모든 사진들과 사전설정들이 사라졌습니다.

이유를 알고싶어 여기저기 찾아보았으나, 알 수 없었습니다. 

 

오늘 여기에 들어와서 보니, 어플이 새로 업데이트 되면서 발생한 버그의 일종인 것 같은데...

다른 분의 글을 보니 adobe측에서 무료판 사용 중이기 때문에 어떠한 조치를 취해줄 수 없다는 입장을 밝혔다는데, 이는 개인적으로 굉장히 무책임하다는 생각이 듭니다. 

 

사라진 사전설정들로 인해 답답한 마음에 여기에 글을 작성해봅니다.

Lately I've been taking a lot of photos and putting them into my Lightroom account. However last night I went to Lightroom to do a bit of editing and all of my presets are gone and my new photos and albums are not there but my old photos are all there (I deleted them a few months ago). Is there anyway I can recover my new photos and presets?

Hi Mohit,

That link to the "forum" is a deadlink now. Does this mean you have ackowledged the problem, released 5.4.1 as a fix but there's nothing more to be done with this issue and you are closing this subject? How can we know it won't happen again? I'm seriously considering to have a plan of yours just for having a backup always on, which is a twist in my mind because I'm gonna pay the subscription to someone who's messed up so I don't lose everything again, but how can we be sure another problem will not happen and even synced up data can be lost too?

So for your mess up are you going to compensate the folks who lost presets that were PURCHASED or anybody who lost work for clients with  free few months of the subscription or not! What a crock of s***

Me facing this problem too since day 1 that I updated version 5.4

And I really cry because many photos and many presets I had.

 

And bad news it Adobe can't fix anything, you can see pic below.

Can not get on to customer service. Will they be compensating people for loosing everything. I would at least like to be able to re purchase the presets that I've spent a hundreds of dollars on. Has anyone had any success with customer service?

Hi,

i have the free lightroom app and today when i clicked in to the app i noticed that every picture i've imported and every preset i've created from the past 13 months is all gone??

 

please help, don't want to loose all pictures and presets...

I've been using the Lightroom Mobile app on my iphone for over 3years now

 

Today, I open the app and see there is no photos, presets, albums all gone.

 

CAn anyone explain why? this happend? 

 

I tried logoff, log back in but still the same situation.

Today when I pulled up LR on my phone all of my saved photos are gone as well as all of my saved presets. It does say my subscription has expired, but I was using the free version. I updated the app just in case, but that didn't help. Any ideas?
