I'm new to Lightroom and wondering how I can integrate LightRoom Classic and my iPhone.
I take my photos with my iPhone and they are uploaded to the Appe Cloud.
But I never remove the bad ones and now have 35 000 photos.
I would like to use LightRooom to :
1) help me choosing the 10% to keep
2) develop the best ones and make them even better
I'm planning to use Lightroom mobile to upload my 35 000 photos into Adobe Cloud.
And import them into LightRoom Classic.
My problem :
Once I'll have my 30 000 bad photos removed, how can I tell which ones to keep to my iPhone catalog ?
And the ones I'll have "improved / developped" ?
Thank you for your help
Hi @Alain_Montpellier, welcome to the community!
Lightroom Mobile works a bit differently from Lightroom Classic. It can’t selectively upload the way Classic does, everything you add in Lightroom Mobile (photos and albums) syncs to cloud storage. Lightroom Classic, on the other hand, only syncs the collections you choose.
One option is to turn off the Auto Add from Camera Roll feature in the Lightroom Mobile app and delete any cloud images you don’t want in Classic once they’ve synced over.
Hope th

Hello @Aleke, thank you for taking time to respond to my question.
I'm finally trying a totally different strategy :
Create a copy of my Apple Catalog to an accessible folder.
Import into Lightrom Classic from this new folder (except the duplicates).
Once i'll have the Lightroom catalog clean, I'll clear the apple catalog and import from Lighroom to Apple.
I hope this is clear.
Thank you again.

Maybe another option @Alain_Montpellier is to maybe pause sync in Lightroom Classic and use assisted culling in Lightroom Desktop (assuming that is part of your plan) prior to all the photos syncing down to Lightroom Classic
https://helpx.adobe.com/uk/lightroom-cc/using/assisted-culling.html
Once you have culled the unwanted photos then turn sync back on
