P: Ability to change EXIF capture date/time

I am first time user of Adobe Lightroom, so Lightroom CC is a fresh start to me. So I imported my photos I stored locally but some of them were imported without capture date/time and file creation was used instead. Not a big deal in case of like 20 pictures. I could fix this manually but in fact I can NOT. Capture date/time is not editable. WTF? Please fix this very, very soon! Thanks.

There's a rule of thumb - anything you do in Grid view affects all selected. Practically anything you do in Detail view only applies to the active photo. Why? Because you might have the Filmstrip hidden or simply not notice that you have multiple photos selected in Detail view. There's the odd exception like exporting, but only in situations that wouldn't damage anything.

How come you know everything? Thank you! Of course I was not, I was in film strip view. Why this does not work in film strip OMG?

Are you in Grid view at the time? That's key.

Dunno what happened but now I can only edit one photo at the time now. No matter how many pictures I select - three or hundred - only the first ones time is shifted.

Hopefully at some time in future, but it's not there yet.

Will this be on the mobile versions too? Having just been travelling for 2 weeks in Peru with out a laptop, and having forgotten to change the time zone in my camera , this caused a bit of confusion.

Can I get you to post a separate thread about that Todd, as this was a feature request for CC to get an edit capture time feature, and it'll get lost here.

What about LR Classic CC 7.1? I am still having issues with capture time inconsistency. I reinstalled my complete system last week and updated everything thinking it would solve all the issues I was having with LR and other programs. It worked for a while but the past few days it has reverted to the same issues. I even have noticed capture times in the future 2023 and 1943 and in between. I've been reorganizing them using custom reorder then doing a batch rename to put them in the correct sequence as a last resort. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

LR Classic CC 7.1
Windows 10
AMD FX8320
AMD Radeon RX 480 8GB
32 GB DDR5 of total RAM
Main drive Samsung EVO 850 500 GB SSD

You'll be pleased to know this was implemented in the Windows/Mac versions of Lightroom CC in this week's version 1.1 release!
