P: Lightroom Mobile: Left handed option

LEGEND ,
Jul 16, 2019 Jul 16, 2019

Adobe - hello, I’m not sure if it’s possible or not but I’d love to have a left handed option for Lightroom cc on the iPad - where all of the settings are on the left. It’s especially tough when using the Apple Pencil with it crossing over the image. I know that’s a huge ask and probably not in the pipeline but thought I’d throw it out there. Thanks. Jeff

In Lightoom for iPad, tap App Settings > Input. Then toggle Left-handed editing on.

Hi Jeff, I'm about to make your day! It's already there!

Click the cog icon to show settings, then go to Gesture Shortcuts and there's a toggle switch.

Yes, so far. But they are aiming for feature parity, so the fact it's on iPad hopefully means it'll come to Android sooner than later too.

Sorry man - from what Victoria said above - sounds like it's only an iOS option as of now. Not sure though? I've never used an android tablet.

This is a flaw. Why not keeping the ipad and android versions in sync? Without the left hand option for android, lightroom mobile is useless for me / left handed users. Shame!

Is it Possible to move the Toolbar in lightroom mobile to the left as I use a Samsung S - pen and I'm left handed which makes it a little awkward to use, is this already available or possible to implement.
Thanks,
Andrew

Hello Victoria! I have an iPad Air 4 with Lightroom installed, and I'm not found the left-handed toggle/option where you mentioned. What am I missing? Is it moved to another place?

Thanks for the reply.

Hello!

Is there any way to change the background color of the iPad Lightroom CC interface? I need to be able to edit with a white background, as that is how my images are ultimately viewed.

I know this is possible on Classic on the computer, but haven't been able to find it on the Mobile version of CC.

Using Lightroom V8.0.0 on a 2022 iPad Pro 12.9 inch.

Thank you!

Lefties, rejoice!

For those using LR mobile for iPad, click on the 3 dots at the top left of the screen when in edit mode.

App Settings > Input > Left-handed editing (at the very bottom).

It's there a fix for the Android tablet yet? This is discrimination.
