P: Searching Lightroom photos

No problem. When Adobe released the new Cloud version of Lightroom they chose a confusing naming structure. The confusion remains to this day!

In the Adobe forums the naming was changed recently to help reduce this confusion. The forum for the original Lightroom version is named Lightroom Classic with LrC abbreviation and for the Cloud version Lightroom ecosystem (Cloud Based) with LR abbreviation. The latter includes LR Web and LR Mobile apps (i.e. ecosystem).

@todd_shaner_6660895 Sorry for adding to the confusion! I was aware of the terms Lightroom and Lightroom Classic. Since LrC is specifically for use on a computer, I assumed that LR Desktop would have been referring to LrC. 

*JanAM Thanks for the clarification. I'm new to the subscription-plan versions of this stuff and find the terminology quite confusing I guess. I would have thought that LR Desktop would refer to the analog of the old, perpetual-license version, which, of course, was installed on and ran on the Windows (or Apple) desktop. When I finally bit the subscription bullet a few weeks ago, I ran LR and was very confused by the resulting interface, as it was not at all familiar. It took me a few tries to get LrC installed and running, though I don't recall what went wrong. It would seem from this conversation that the web-based version (LR) is less feature-rich. If you're going to be using LR on your PC, and seldom wanting to edit photos on your tablet or phone, you might want to give LrC a try. But keep in mind that I know essentially nothing about the web-based version, so take my opinions with a grain of salt! I apologize for adding to the confusion in this thread. (And I should add that I know nothing about what great features might exist in the web-based version, aside from what I gather is the ability to work on photos seamlessly from any device, anywhere.) Seems insane to call the web-based version LR Desktop, but what do I know?

The Cloud version is simply called Lightroom or Lightroom Desktop, which causes confusion with the original more full-featured version now called Lightroom Classic. I've added my Upvote and suggestion to add ALL of the LrC filter features to LR Desktop

just to clear the confusion about my Lightroom_version. My version is called “LR” and is  installed on a desktop PC and with the 1 TeraByte cloud storage.

Personally  - as a new user - find the names as used by Adobe not very transparent and I now understand that there are differences in the ( at least search) features.

In Lr Desktop, which is cloud focused for storage; there is no Library module.

Not sure what distinction you're making. I have recently switched from LR 6 to LrC, but since the OP claims to be a new user, I'd bet they're using LrC, no? In any case, I just started up my old LR 6 and see exactly the choices you show above - same as in LrC. I think in saying LR Desktop, the OP meant LRc as opposed to the online LR, but I could be wrong. 

The OP is using LR Desktop not Classic. It would be nice if LR Desktop supported ALL of the filter features available in LrC.

I'm assuming you're trying to find photos in Grid mode in the Library module. If you select your highest-level folder (in the Folders panel on the left) - so that you're searching all of your photos - and filter on "Keywords contains zon", it should find them. As an example, I filtered on a particular folder for "keywords contains rac" and it found the pictures with keyword "Rachel" as well as some pictures with keyword "train tracks".
