After selection is active, I cannot use the generative fill button. It's visible, but greyed out...

I already switched from german language to english without success.. Please advice. Thanks !

I've tried all of the suggestions in this thread and still have a greyed Generative Fill box.

Adobe Photoshop Version: 24.6.0 20230520.m.2181 4e0245f arm64

Operating System: Mac OS 13.2.1

I have the most current version listed in item 1) and I have tried multiple active selections but it when you hover over the generative fill box, it says Generative Fill is currently not available.

THIS IS THE SOLUTION for the Greyed Out "Generative Fille is currently not available":
Go to Behance in the Creative Cloud desktop app and update your date of birth.

Agreed. This may have to do with the age thing. I don't recall entering my age nor can I find anywhere to edit it.

I am confused. I am over 18 (well and truly unfortunately) and my image is set to 8 bits but the generative fill is disabled. What am I doing wrong?

@CShubert The tooltip does not explain why this feature is disabled. It simply says "Generative Fill is currently not available". This is happening to users regardless of their age, although it would be nice to know where age information is stored. Maybe that's the issue. Maybe some users are miscategorized as being under 18. I don't recall being asked to verify my age when I signed up for Creative Cloud. Where can users access this?

Why is the Generative Fill unavailable?
If you find that Generative Fill is greyed out for you, it is possible that you may not have a valid Date of Birth associated with your Adobe ID account. To update your Date of Birth, you can do any of the following:
• Log into Behance with your Adobe ID and enter your Date of Birth.
• Log into your Adobe account and enter your Date of Birth. To learn more, see Error: "Not eligible to use Creative Cloud services".
Once your Date of Birth is up to date, relaunch the Photoshop (beta) app to enable Generative Fill.
