P: PS Beta 25.4: Pen tool: Option/Alt shortcut key

I have encountered some difficulties with the pen tool in Photoshop 25.4. Since the latest update, the pen tool does not work as it should. For instance, when I try to remove an anchor point, the convert point tool does not switch on automatically. Also, the eyedropper tool appear when i press ALT button. These problems are affecting my workflow and productivity. I would appreciate any assistance or guidance on how to resolve this error. Thank you for your time and attention.

in photoshop beta

Adobe is aware of this bug in Photoshop beta, which is for finding and reporting bugs to the PS team. The fix is to use the released version, which does not have the bug.

Hello, thank you for addressing my concern. The version I am currently running is the Beta Version. I have recently come across several similar issues in the Adobe Community, and I can confirm that what @jane-e mentioned is indeed accurate.

Since all of these posts are for the Beta I will merge with the main beta post which has responses from the Adobe team.

In Photoshop 2024 (Beta version mac 25.5 v2464) the standard Pen Tool — After pulling a curve, I hold down the Option key (as I have been doing for many years) and I click the last anchor. This suppose to breaks the anchor's symmetry. I can then click to create a straight segment, or click-drag to create an un-smooth curve.

Well it will not breaks the anchor's symmetry, Instead it is showing eyedropper tool

Any help?

The problem is. When I'm creating a shape with the pen tool.
I cannot rmove extra anchor points.
I pressed the anchor point with Alt button, but the extra anchor didn't rmove.
And the result is showing the eye dropper tool.

It's been more than a month, and you still haven't fixed the behavior of the Pen Tool with the Alt key pressed. When will you finally correct it? Additionally, you've transferred this issue to the non-BETA version of Photoshop, and it's not working there either.

If you are using the beta version, I recommend using version 25.5.0

@Oleg5D13

This is a bug in Photoshop Beta and Adobe is aware. I've moved your post from Creative Cloud Desktop to the Primary thread in Photoshop Beta where the Photoshop team will announce when they have a fix.

The solution for the interim is to use the released version. The purpose of the Beta is to find and report bugs, so bugs are to be expected.
