2 up side by side view freezes Photoshop Beta

I have noticed that if I open two Photoshop Beta files and drag one of the tabs out to snap against the other to have a 2-up side-by-side view, the software immediately freezes and will not let me work on either tab/document.

I use an M1 Ultra Mac Studio with 64GB of Ram and 2TB HD, so I can't imagine it is a performance issue. I tried it several times, and it didn't work on any occasion. I thought that you'd like to know that this is a bug.

Hi Gary,

I have checked that the GPU is checked in performance, and it was already checked. However, earlier today, I restarted our QNAP server and hey-presto, the problem has disappeared. So I think there may have been an issue with working off the files from the server that caused the issue.

Thanks for replying though.

It was just one of those annoying bugs that were caused on my end.

Hi @pmabin, have you tried enabling GPU mode in the doc window before doing this and see if it still freezes?

It may help if we could see your Photoshop System Info. Launch Photoshop, and select Help >System Info...and copy/paste the text in a reply.
