Nice, You can create your own action in the classic Actions panel — record it, save it as an .ATN file, and then import it into the new Actions panel in Photoshop Beta.

That's right @Piotr Gardecki ! Worth noting too that any actions that are listed in the Classic Actions panel will also be listed in the new Actions panel in the "Yours" tab.

We're working on adding the ability to Edit existing and Create new actions within the new Actions designs, and

we'll be iterating on this throughout the year.  So stay tuned for that!

Regards,

Pete

Hi Pete!
I’ve been experimenting with Photoshop’s History Log feature and had an idea I’d love to get your thoughts on.
I enabled the option to save a detailed history log as a text file (via Preferences → File Handling → Save History Log → Text File

Is there a way to convert this History Log into a Photoshop Action? I’m curious if anyone has tried a semi-automated approach—maybe using scripting.

Thanks for the suggestion! Converting history to an action is something we've been considering so I appreciate you mentioning it'd be a useful function for you. Currently there isn't a way to convert history logs to an action, but we'll definitely take your request in as part of our considerations!

Would you only want to use it with the history log? or would you want it to be a function of the history panel itself?

Thank you for your quick response! I'm delighted to hear that my suggestions are on your radar. I think you're right – starting with the history panel would be a great solution.

If we could convert history into actions, that would be truly fantastic. Regarding the history log, it's worth remembering this source, as it could be a valuable resource for analysis, especially given that there are no recording limits.

I'll let you know if my experiments yield any interesting results.

All the best, Piotr
