Hi. How do I fix the error when running Photoshop Beta. The error sounds like "The entry point of the SetThreadDescription procedure was not found in the DLL C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop (Beta)\Photoshop.exe".

Hi @Mr30505324r6uu

Welcome to our community. Let's try to fix the error that you are seeing.

Can you tell us the version of Photoshop (Beta) and Windows? When do you see the error message?

Please follow the below-mentioned steps and let me know if they work:

1. Uninstall the current Photoshop (Beta) app; if there are any issues with uninstall, then run the Cleaner tool to remove Photoshop (Beta):http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html.

2. Restart your system

2. Install Photoshop (Beta) app from Creative Cloud

3. Relaunch Photoshop

If it does not work, please let me know.

Best,

Ranjisha

I'm having the same issue. I've already tried:

--un-installing Photoshop via the uninstall function in menu from Settings-->Apps; then re-installing Photoshop from the Creative Cloud app

--installing the Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 patch, restarting, and installing again

--installing the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistribution for Virtual Studio 2015 pacth, restarting, and installing again

--running /scannow function from the command prompt (as administrator)

--running a Windows Defender virus scan

None of these have prevented the same pop-up message from occuring.

I've moved your post from Photoshop to the Photoshop Beta forum for you.

Still get the same error message.

Has anyone managed to get a solution to the problem?

the same situation, nothing helps. incompetent adobe programmers constantly create problems for customers of their product. and they don't offer a solution. nothing helped.
