Photoshop 2024 beta 25.12.0 20240710 crashing way to often

New Here ,
Jul 14, 2024 Jul 14, 2024

Are you submitting the Crash Reports when this happens? - yes

Do you have the same issue with Ps release with the same file and the same workflow, or just Ps beta? yes - as of april-may 2024, I have stopped working on no Beta version some weeks ago.

PS crashes when loading multiply files.. like 40-60  and more at once...

Beta crashes with no reason to me.

@bogdan337201900pwx can you copy the entire report and paste into a reply? That is only the first portion of the system info. Thanks!

@bogdan337201900pwx is the email you use to post here the same for your Adobe ID you share with your crash reports? We have searched CR to see your shared reports and do not find any based on this email from the forums... if you want to share another email feel free to send it to shubert@adobe.com so I can use it to find the crashers.

What is your workflow exactly, what steps are you going through when you see these crashes, is it a Ps only crash or freeze, or is it a full OS/computer crash....? Trying to see if we can recreate it here.

Thanks,

Cory - Photoshop Product Manager

I do open as much as i can images.. 199 of them, at once, sometimes it is just a few of them... sometimes just one... Does not matter what I do.. PS crashes, not every time, but way too often, right after opening images.. sometime after an houre sometimes after few hpuirs, sometime after a day... there is no schedule to shot down..  Most of the time .. I do - expand pixels, contrast, cut,  generative fill, content aware fill... most of the time.. after editing few images.. I see there will be a crach.. I can nopt do anything... No cut, no content aware fill, nothing.. my mpuse freezes...then.. booom.. no photoshop ............. it is only photoshop crash.......................no windows crash involved...Untitled-1.jpg

@bogdan337201900pwx curious what happens if you open 10 files... in either Ps release or Ps beta?  What size/type of files are you opening, has this happened for you for a long time or is this something new?

There are many reasons Ps could be crashing, not enough scratch disk space, your computer is doing some auto updates in the backend... it is very hard to find a pattern here until we learn more about your workflow and history of this.

If you don't see the Crash Reporter dialog appear, you may have selected an option to not show the dialog. Follow these steps to set the preference to Always Show This Dialog:
macOS
Cmd+click the Photoshop app icon and choose Show Package Contents.
Select Contents > Frameworks > AdobeCrashReporter.framework.
Cmd+click the alias named AdobeCrashReporter and select Show Original.
Double-click Adobe Crash Reporter (Red A app icon, not the black AdobeCrashReporter UNIX executable file).
Choose Always Show This Dialog and click Done.
Windows
Open Start
Search for "Command Prompt" and launch it
Enter the following command:
REG ADD HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\CommonFiles\CRLog /v "Never Ask" /t REG_SZ /d 0
Press the Enter key
If asked “Value Never Ask exists, overwrite(Yes/No)?" choose Yes

Thanks,

>>>>>scratch disk was my first thought<<<<  That crashes did not start lately, it is happened for a year, even two..

Does not matter if scratch disk is 1Tb or 100Mb... 😞
