Problem with latest upgrade 26.6

Community Beginner ,

This morning I upload the latest upgrade. I left Photoshop open whilst I uploaded some photos in the latest version of Lightroom. I then used Ctrl+E to load a photo into Photoshop. I was "transferred" to Photoshop but no file appeared! I have tried this several times. I have also loaded a file into Phtoshop using Open from the File menu. THis worked but Phtoshop then failed to save it back into Lightroom! Help

Another customer also has found a clean reinstall solved their issue:

Hi @brianj3403651 to confirm, are you talking about Lr or LrC?  Does this same workflow work using Ps GA version and not beta?

This sounds like in the update of the new Ps beta, something did not intall correctly... our advice is to delete all Ps beta files and reinstall.

Also, there is a chat on Reddit that talks about something similar and an Adobe expert answered this:

"If you are running a beta OS, have installed multiple versions of Photoshop, or have installed or uninstalled the Photoshop public beta, reconnecting either Desktop Application to PS requires manipulating PS.

In Order, this is the troubleshooting process:

  1. Reset PS Preferences (Check to see if things are working - if not:)
  2. Uninstall all versions of PS present
  3. Reinstall only the versions of PS you need. If these items do not restore functionality,

4.Reset Lightroom Preferences
5. Reinstall Lightroom

If this doesn't work, it is reasonable to suspect the beta OS version is tripping you up."

Let us know if this solves this.

Thanks,

Hi Cory
It affected both the Beta and the PsGa version. I use LrC. I deleted both
Photoshops and reinstalled. That appears to have solved the problem.

Thank you
Brian
