Remove Workflow Improvements in Photoshop (Beta)

Bring focus to your scene with new advanced Generative AI technology made specifically for seamless object removal.

Original Image                      Selection                             Previous Versions                New Remove Model

1. Specialized Generative AI in Remove Tool (Beta): The Remove Tool now uses a unique, dedicated Generative AI model for superior object removal. These benefits include cleaner fills (fewer added objects) and better blending, pattern matching, and object reconstruction.

Set the Remove Tool Mode in the options bar to Auto (May use Generative AI) or Generative AI On to try out this beta technology.

2. Contextual Task Bar Integration (Beta): Use the new Remove button with a selection to take advantage of the same specialized Generative AI as the Remove Tool.

Use in place of Generative Fill for best-in-class removals. Neither the Remove Tool or Remove button utilize generative credits.

Please provide your thoughts here or in the Feature Feedback panel.

Thank you!

The new Remove Tool with dedicated Generative AI works impressively smoother! The cleaner fills and seamless blending are a big improvement — finally feels production-ready for detailed edits.

Regarding this:

"Neither the Remove Tool or Remove button utilize generative credits."

I assume this is because beta features—like the generative workspace—don't consume credits while they are in beta. Or will this carry over into the final version once this model is no longer in beta? I thought the reason was the former, but I've heard a couple of people say it's the latter, so I’m curious. Thanks in advance if anyone can confirm.

The Remove Tool, even in the general release, will not charge credits.

I have been trying to learn Photoshop for a long time. I have used the free version but there is not much benefit, so now I have to buy it. I am not given the choice of coloring. Is there any website that can help me choose colors? I need more information.

Same as Sunny251684547wpa - the "Output settings" are not appearing for me inside the gear icon menu. I'm already using PS beta 26.7 m3057 and Windows 11.

Any idea why it isn't showing, at least for some of us? 😔

Good results, but the Output settings not available in the remove tool in the Options Bar. I am using Windows 11 and using latest photoshop beta version. How to get the Output Settings in the Remove Tool Options Bar Settings. Thank You.

Hi @Sunny251684547wpa Thank you for the report and screenshot.
Could you please confirm Adobe Photoshop Version: 26.7.0 20250427.m.3057 is installed (Help > System Info...)
.
I found I needed to have Creative Cloud manually check for updates with this beta release.
Creative Cloud application: Help > Check for Updates., then view the Photoshop (Beta) app entry.

LMK if that works for you.
Thanks again!
