Cannot open Adobe Camera Raw

So, after this last update, whenever I try to edit my images in Adobe Camera Raw from the Bridge I get the message that Photoshop 2023 cannot be opened. The screenshot is attached bellow. Yet I am using the version 2025 version. But when I open the files in PS and from there I open an image with CTRA+A ACR work just fine. So, whats happening?

Correct answer davescm

Are you using Open in Camera Raw (Ctrl+R) from bridge for those jpegs?

@Marko Subotin "Yaaay, it works! Premature celebration"

The first issue that you had was not related to the second issue you reported

How jpegs open is determined by Camera Raw preferences. The default setting is "open jpegs with settings" - a bit cryptic, but what it means is that if the jpeg already has ACR metadata, it will continue opening through ACR. If not, it goes directly to Photoshop.

File associations in general should be set in the OS to work globally and universally. I think setting it in Bridge only affects Bridge.

Nope, double click or enter. CTR+R seems to work. Thanks Dave. 🙂

I have already tried that, but for some weird reason, Photoshop opens some of the files directly in Photoshop, it skips the ACR, and some of the files are open by the ACR.

@Marko Subotin check the file type associations tab, scroll down to jpeg, if Photoshop 2025 is not listed you may need to browse to the Photoshop.exe file

Yaaay, it works!
Premature celebration, it works only with DNG's, not with JPG. 😕😕 @Ged_Traynor

@Marko Subotin try uninstalling Bridge and then Photoshop, reinstall Photoshop and then Bridge

@Marko Subotin have you checked the Bridge application launch settings in preferences
