PS20 / PS21 Brush lag comparison with identical system and program settings! It is unusable. Finder latency, brush lag. What a crap! Any idea... It does not deal with brush smoothing (deactivated), it does not deal with GPU (iMac Pro with 120 GB memory and Vega Graphiccard) and it does not deal with cache, as both documents are opened just right before.

Test with identical brush strokes, color, transparency and speed. Such a mess...

*NguyennnAmyyy There is a known issue with current Wacom drivers where the modifier keys can intermittently get stuck; fix is coming very soon.  I would also recommend trying to reset your preferences (Photoshop > Preferences > General: click Reset Preferences on Quit, then quit and relaunch).  Let me know if that helps.

@chad_rolfs I'm still experiencing lags. Updated wacom and photoshop and my OS to the most recent Big Sur. I'm using a generic round brush and this is what my "circles" look like.

*Domi1 - Wow, thanks!! That did it for me as well. Using M1 Mac Mini, 16GB RAM. Thanks again!

Thanks for the reply @liann4887  Have you updated to the latest Wacom driver (6.3.43-3)?  Also could you record and attach a video of the exact lag/delays you're still seeing?

@chad_rolfs Dear Chad, nice to hear but actually, as there are limited options to brushes and selection tools I focused on Clip Paint as it does not deal with these issues and uses better technology for painting. Sorry.

Circling back here.  You should see improvements in 22.4.2.  Please update and confirm you're seeing reduced lags.  Thanks!

@liann4887 Any better with the latest update (22.3.1)?  We have a fix in that release and another one coming in the next one.
