P: CS6 / CC Keyboard shortcuts not responding Mavericks/Yosemite MacOS 10.9; 10.10

Since Installing Mavericks on my mac pro, the keyboard shortcuts, such as zooming in/out, undo etc, intermittently do not respond.
I have to click on another tool in the tool bar to get the keyboard to respond again.
The problem returns intermittently and seemingly not as a result of the Auto Save function.
My mac pro 15" has 8gb of ram which is more than enough for the type of work I do.I am an illustrator who primarily works around the brush tool.
Have tried disabling Graphics Processor and restarting, but this does not resolve the issue.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Hi Jeffrey, tried that and no, that didn't fix it. Still the same thing.

I don't think the problem lies with Yosemite as it was first reported with OS 10.9 and CS6. And tool switching with a Wacom attached works perfectly under Yosemite in Pixelmator or, for that matter, Adobe Illustrator. Anyway, it's not an event 'delay' issue, it's an shortcut not registering, half the time nothing happens when you press keys, which is kind of fundamental for working in a program.

I definitely had the same problems with Mavericks but is has increased tenfold with Yosemite.

Hi Sander, sounds like you have the same problems as me and the same set up. Have you had any luck yet?

It sounds like you're hitting some other issue. Are you running the 10.10.1 update? Have you tried booting in safemode to disable system utilities: http://blogs.adobe.com/crawlspace/201...

Hi, I am running the update and still no better. Shortcuts in other programs like Sketchbook Pro respond fine. Sorry for my ignorance but how does booting in safemode help?

Hi, booting in safemode seems to run PS without the shortcut problems. What now?

That indicates that there is some extension that is causing the problem.
They usually show up here in System Preferences:

Which Wacom Driver are you running? I would manually delete the driver you currently have installed and install the latest version of the Wacom driver.

I just uninstalled and updated the Wacom drivers and still the same problems. I have however just noticed that the unresponsive shortcuts are only happening when I am using the Wacom pen. If I draw with the trackpad and toggle between tools it seem to work fine.

Strange. Can you try installing the whitewindow plug-in? (It shouldn't be necessary but want to try it to validate something)

Photoshop CS6 and CC will no longer support my Wacom device. Brush features disable my keyboard shortcuts. Have already tried all possible work arounds. Wacom said to contact Adobe support. Adobe said contact Wacom. HELP.

Holy crap! Well I just went to copy the file to the Plug in settings and noticed 2 versions of PS in my application folder. I thought the update had replaced the existing version. I have been loading PS from the shortcut in the dock which has been opening the older version. I have uninstalled the older version and a quick test on the new one and everything seems to be fine. Apologies for all the confusion and many thanks.

Whew. Yeah, 2014 is a separate binary: http://blogs.adobe.com/crawlspace/201...

You can uninstall the old version if you choose: http://blogs.adobe.com/crawlspace/201...

Having the same issue as everyone described above. CS6-Yosemite 10.10-wacom creative pen tablet. Shortcuts don't work until you click a tool or function in photoshop. I downloaded the plug-in above and and it didn't solve the problem. I noticed that only the command-Z function started working a little better. Everything else works like garbage.

I get a brand new macbook for christmas and can't do the one thing i needed it for. I am a professional Illustrator and my work has fallen majorly behind due to this problem.

Do you have the latest OS update? (10.10.1)

Do you have the latest Photoshop CS6 updates? (13.0.6)

Do you have the latest Wacom Driver? (6.3.11w3)

It may help if we could see your Photoshop System Info. Directions for sharing your system info from Photoshop:

You might not be a silly as me but when you updated to PS CC 2014 did you uninstall the previous version? As that solved all my problems.

Halleluja!

I am running Photoshop CS6 and Yosemate 10.10.3 and yes the WhiteWindowWorkaround.plugin1_0_6 works lovely. Thank you.

The short cut key commands respond properly using my Wacom Intuos 4.

Problems with non responsive touch ring for brush size and tablet quick key for palette swap are back to pre OS X working order.
