P: Error PS version 25.7.0. User defined correction presets stop working

When upgrading to version 25.7.0, user-defined correction presets stop working. We can not see a particular pattern based on which some work, some dont. Those presets that don't work, are greyed out and it says they are incompatible, however, this does not make sense, since other presets who do the same thing continue to work.

This is not a minor thing. We built a variety of presets which many of our customers are using and all of them are now facing the same problem.

Thanks for reporting this. We have been able to reproduce the issue and have passed it on to the product team to investigate.

I found that it failed on the following blend modes:

Darken, Color burn, Darker color, Lighten, Color dodge, Lighter color, Difference, Exclusion, Subtract, Divide, Hue, Saturation, Color, Luminosity.

The rest worked normally.

You should see the fix in the latest Beta build: 20240519.m.2625.

Yes, thanks! Tried it in Beta and it works. Now we "only" need this to be available in the official Ps version, since we can not expect all our customers to work in Beta. But I guess now that the fix is in Beta, it should become available in one of the next Ps fixes, right?

Update:  There seems to be a partial fix in update PS version 25.9.0 as of 22nd May.  I say partial as the previously unusable user presets are still greyed out unless you open Photoshop via slecting the file either in Bridge or directly from the desktop via "Open With". Bit of a sticking plaster fix for now, but really not good enough.  Try it though, it does work this way.

PS:  It won't work with subsequent files loaded from within PS, you need to exit and follow the same stated procedure.

To clarify, the fix went out to Photoshop (Beta) which is now at 25.10.0.  If the standard schedule holds, the June release would have the fix in non-Beta.

Thanks for letting us know about the cold open via Bridge: Open With.  We don't appear to handle that and update appropriately.  It does allow a kind of workaround for the bug in 25.9.

Hi @Rick Spaulding - A colleague indicated, that the error in Ps would be fixed in June, but so far nothing has happened. Any chance to get an update on this? The erorr by now is over 2 months old. Thanks!

The June (non-Beta) release for 25.10 has not landed yet.  True, there aren't many days left for a "June" release, but it will happen.

Yes, the regular (non-Beta) release for 25.11 that went out earlier this week has the fix.  Thank you for your patience.
