Recording an action that unlocks a layer. WHen I record the action and press the padlock icon in the layers palette, only the locking is recorded, even when the layer is locked and a click on the padlock icon unlocks it. Using the menu 'Layer>Lock Layers..." lets me record the unlocking

This should be fixed in the Photoshop CC (2015) update.

I have done some further tests.
The order layer locks are recorded in changes the outcome of the action. Whatever lock attribute was last recorded in the action [when using layer lock icons] is the ONLY lock attribute the layer ends up with.

eg Record...
1 : Lock Position [click position icon]
2 : Lock Transparency [click position icon]
Play Action PS CC2014: result = Transparency only is locked

This is a bug with Photoshop CC2014. (Previous version CC worked fine)

I use an action to create a spotting layer for dust busting images / scans.
1: Duplicate the Image layer, [command J]
2: then... Lock the layer position, [click position lock icon]
3: then... Lock the layer transparency [click transparency lock icon].
...stop recording.

When I RECORD the action.... BOTH position and transparency are locked.
when I play the action (CC2014)... only ONE attribute is locked (transparency).
when I play the action (CC)... BOTH attributes are locked (position & transparency).

In CC2014 I use a the following workaround when recording the layer locks in Actions.
1: Duplicate the Image layer, [command J]
2: then select 'Layer fly-out' arrow' / "Lock Layers... Command / ". click in both lock attributes.
