P: Patch tool moving on canvas selection draws incorrectly

I just noticed it now, it maybe temporary glitch or something that's been there for a while, I have no idea for how long this was present.

when I select area with patch tool and move the selection around, the shape of the patch tool shown through the target area is rentangle rather than my original selection.

Is this normal behavior? Or something I haven't seen it cause I was not paying attention all these time?

@EVRN IT thank you for the sysinfo. A couple things stand out, one is you have less than 8gb of RAM allocated for Ps, the other is you should not set the memory for Ps to use at over 70%.

@CoryShubert and @Mark.Dahm is there any update on a fix for this issue, this was originally reported in June and it's now September, and there's also this issue https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop-ecosystem-bugs/object-selection-very-slow-response-photosho... which was incorrectly reported as been fixed.

Why does it take Adobe so long to fix issues with their software, we're talking months here and when Adobe do bring out a fix they break something else, it's a never ending story of fix and break it at the same time.
