Hi all, we have this logged and the team is investigating.

Things to try:
One thing to look at trying regarding the Save dialog not working, is to change Preferences > File Handling > Default File Location from "Creative Cloud" to "On your computer". This skips the UXP Cloud save dialog and goes to the local hard drive save options.

Hi all,

We have fixed this issue with the latest Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop app update. Please update the Creative Cloud Desktop app if you still see this problem.

Let us know if you are still seeing this issue after the update.

Thanks,

Thanks for the update @Rick28874801iwnm

Let's make sure we're in a default state and there are no stale settings somewhere:

Restore your preferences using this manual method:

https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preferences.html#Manually

Does it work correctly?

If that doesn't solve it, you can quit Photoshop and put the Settings folder back.

It may help if we could see your Photoshop System Info. Launch Photoshop, and select Help >System Info...and copy/paste the text in a reply.

I had the same issue in the 24.2 update that was giving me a blank screen when saving a new Photoshop document. That did the trick! Thank you.

Hi @Kaden288962960t12 go to Photoshop Preferences/Technology Preview and check “Disable Native Canvas”. Then check “Use Older GPU Mode (2016)”. Restart PS.

If that does not resolve try resetting your Photoshop preferences manually.

Welcome to the Photoshop Community @Kaden288962960t12. We'll need more info to help you figure this out.

Could you please share the system info of Photoshop from Help > System info > Copy & paste into a text document > upload to Creative Cloud files (https://assets.adobe.com/files) and share the link here?

You can try temporarily disabling any VPN or protection software on your machine that can change how your device interacts with the internet.

Go to the location of the preference folder below and rename it to backup. https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preferences.html

  • Windows 10/11: Users/[user name]/AppData/Roaming/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop [version]/Adobe Photoshop [version] Settings
  • Press Windows + R & type this is the Run Window - %APPDATA%\Adobe

    SameerK_0-1678909802000.png

  • Rename the Adobe Photoshop folder by adding a .old at the end. (Adobe Photoshop 2023 > Rename > Adobe Photoshop 2023. old)

These changes will give a fresh start to Photoshop as a fresh install. Let me know how it goes.

Thanks!

Sameer K

I am working on Apple M1 13.2.1 OS - I have Photoshop 24.2.0 release.

When I try and save I get a black window and nothing else.  Photoshop will not allow me to save any files with layers.  I am able to export, but as you can imagine I miss all my layers.  I have reset all settings and tried to uninstall and reinstall.  Now I am stuck with I file I need the layers and I cannot save them.

Same problem here.
Can't do anything with "save as" or "save as copy". It only shows a black window pop up.
How do I do?

截屏2023-03-17 02.41.47.pngIt has been several days, I have reinstalled 2023 ps and 2022 ps , still can not solve. Restarted the computer. Reset preferences, didn't fix it. Also tried checking "Disable Native Canvas" in Tech Preview and restarting Photoshop. There is no way to solve the problem.

I'm so sorry, not converted to english. I translate it again.

After trying, I found a solution to my problem. I hope it will be helpful to friends who have the same problem. MacOS > go to the folder > type (/Library/Application Support) in the search box > delete the "Adobe" folder > reinstall Photoshop. If all adobe software has problems after deleting the adobe folder, just reinstall them all. I translate it again
