[WARN] WGudeRequest::applyAutoDetectProxyAutoConfigSettings Failed to autodetect proxy settings. WinHTTP Unable To Download Script. last error code = 12167

Hat jemand ein ähnliches Problem und kann mir helfen? Vielen Dank.

Most likely, the problem is in the Adobe network connections, and not in the program code. It is quite possible that the work will return to normal even without updating the program.
So far I'm using manual search the Everything program with indexing and deleting GUDE files.

How is this still a thing, this bug has been around for so long, in the most well known product Adobe has to offer. And still they don't care, no answer, no update, nothing since effing May 2022! At least talk to your customers if you won't or can't fix this bug!

I can usually see both sides to these things, but in this particular case I have to agree. This bug is a real bother to a lot of people. There are workarounds, but that may require changing workflows and we all know how easy that is.

PS 24.0.1 through 24.1.1 (so far)

Windows 10 Home version 10.0.19044 build 19044

Open any image, either raw into ACR or jpg directly into PS

Expect no gude-xxxxx file to be created

Every image opened, whether in PS, or a raw file through ACR, creates gude-xxxxxx file

I'm running 24.0 and it does not have this result.  With every upgrade since then it creates gude files.  I then revert back to 24.0.

@RobinJean

I've moved your post to the Primary thread for the bug report where Adobe will announce a fix when they have one. In the interim, you can launch Photoshop first, then open your files.

Another one here affected by this same annoying bug. It started after the last update, if I'm not mistaken. Until then it was working fine.

Ya, the latest version 24.1.1 gave me the bug. Do they really have to

We hope so, Rosie! Adobe Staff is aware of the issue and is working on a fix. I've moved this post to the primary thread where they will announce to all.

I came to see if I could find a solution to this problem, as it is extremely frustrating.

However, I am also using another workaround to avoid Photoshop from creating the gude text file. As mentioned, you can launch Photoshop first (that I always forget to do), or you can just right-click the .PSD file and say " Open With", and then select Photoshop.

I hope they fix this soon.

It's still a Problem with PS 24.1. Logfiles are created just by opening a JPG-File.

Can't believe that this is still happening after so much Time and multiple updates...

If you can go back to 24.0, that version does not appear to have this problem.  That's what I'm doing.

Whenever I double-click a PSD file to open it in Photoshop, a gude-2023-##-##.log file is created. However, if I open Photoshop first, and then use File->Open to open the PSD file, the gude log file is not created.

This was reportedly fixed in version 24.1, but it appears to still be happening now in version 24.1.1.
