P: Program error with actions that have save command in 24.3

After updating photoshop to 24.3.0 it throws a save error if I have a save in action.

I do think it's crazy that since they have the fix they don't release it but it's easy to bring back the older verison. 

I doubt that one bug-fix alone justifies releasing a new version. 

Unless the bug is truly catastrophic, I guess …

I am trying to run actions that I use everyday and never had trouble with.  Today, I tried to run two actions and they won't work.  When I press play, the action starts the process and then I get a popup that says "the command 'copy merged' is unavailable" or something like that, and stops the whole process.  Please help!

I have a custom Photoshop batch file (resizes and saves files) that I've used for years. Suddenly, for reasons I don't understand, now when I run the batch it will not save the file, displaying this error instead:

An error was encountered when batching. Check the error log file for details.

The error log file has this entry:
Error: Could not complete the command because of a program error. (-1)

Many of us are in the same boat. Apparently adobe has a fix for it but is
delaying the update for some unknown reason. Many of us are put out by this
delay in fixing it.

I FIXED IT.

A month ago when the problem appeared I couldn't go back to the previous PS version, but a few days ago they updated the creative cloud and now the '' INSTALL PREVIOUS VERSIONS'' Now appeared.

I'm back on track and I can now use my actions!!!!

I think releasing a new version for every single bug-fix would make for a pretty gruelling release calendar. 

It would seem reasonable to me if a product team like Photoshop’s would not release new versions at a pace of more than one a month.

I've read that the releases are rolled out. You can try checking for updates, signing out/in, or waiting until tomorrow.

I am showing that ver 24.3 is the latest which I've had for about 2 weeks.

@frankg_photos most PS releases are a phased roll out - keep checking 24.4 is being rolled out and solves this issue.

Sometimes it takes a few days for everyone to get the updates, although Adobe hasn't officially 

announced it yet, some users have started getting the 24.4 update.

This is reported as been fixed in version 24.4, although Adobe hasn't officially announced this as of yet, see the last page in the above thread for more details.

Export as... function still buggy and takes forever to open, good thing the Legacy choice is still there!
