Thanks for sharing this, @daring_individuality44832, and for verifying this, @davescm. I see this in Ps 26.8.1 and the current Beta. I've shared this with the team for review. Best! Sameer K
When using curves, levels, etc. the info panel does not show a forward slash with results on the right side and original values on the left. It only shows current values with the editing tools result.
Hi, thanks for reaching out! I just checked with Photoshop 26.8.1, and the Info Panel appears to be working as expected.
Could you click on the 3-line menu on the top right of the Info Panel, then select Panel options, and share a screenshot of the settings you're using (see attached screenshot)? It might also be helpful if you could share a screenshot of the Layers Panel.
Meanwhile, you can try to reset the preferences of Photoshop using the steps mentioned here: https://adobe.ly/44aI9he
Please back up your settings prior to resetting the preferences. You can check: https://adobe.ly/4ltVPto
When I change the color with Curve in the information section, it does not show the before and after values. What could be the reason? How can I solve this problem?
@OrhanTekis The Info panel displays the color values of the pixels currently under your cursor in real-time. To see "before and after" values for a Curves adjustment, you'll need to either manually sample before and after applying the adjustment, or use Photoshop's History panel or multiple windows for a visual comparison of the states. The Curves panel itself will show you input/output values on the curve for the selected channel if you use its eyedroppers.
When a curve, levels, etc. dialog is active the RGB values have always split into two values separated by a slash. On the left is the original value and on the right is the edited value. Cursor must be on the image area to invoke that behavior.
I am having the same issue. Went to old computer with PS6 and confirms that. Been that way for 20 years or more.
Panel options have nothing to do wth it, nor PS prefs which I refreshed.

Noticed another user reported this behavior recently with 26.8.1.
Could you please share your system information (form Help> System info> Copy and paste it into a text file and attach it to your response)?
Please try resetting the preferences to their default state. A corrupted preferences file can sometimes cause all sorts of trouble. I suggest you back up your preferences before resetting them. For steps and more info, please check out this Helpx article: Preferences in Photoshop.
To test whether the issue is GPU-related, turn off the GPU from Edit> Preferences> Performance, uncheck Use Graphics Processor, and restart Photoshop.
I am using 28.6.1 and I noticed this a couple of weeks ago. Split values seperated by a forward slash of the actual and current correction values have ALWAYS been shown since year dot of Photoshop.
No longer they have gone, there is no setting in the info panel to turn this on or off as an option. WHATS GOING ON?
Hi @TriChas, sorry to hear you're running into issues with Photoshop.
When you get a chance, could you try the suggestions Nikunj shared in his comment above? Also, if you’re able to share a few screenshots of what you’re seeing, that would really help us take a closer look.
Thanks so much! Alek

To the best of my knowlege ther is no option in the info panel to show original RGB values-slash-RGB values updated from adjusting curves, levels, etc.
It looks like a bug in 26.8.1. If you use an adjustment layer both values show. If you use Image > Adjustments only the resulting value is shown. I opened PS 25.12.3 to check and in that version both show as expected.

I have been a mac operator using Photoshop since 1990 in the print industry. I have used Photoshop most of my working life, everyday. I am very familiar with the general functionality of Photoshop and have encountered many bugs and disasters over that time.
The connection to Nikunj comment is of no relevance, there has never been an option to turn the current and changed values while using a color adjutment tool on or off. I refer to using tools, like Levels, Curves etc.
Attached is a screen shot taken while using Levels on an image, the area under the red arrow should contain the CURRENT values followed by a / then the ADJUSTED values, so a user can see exactly what a before and after color values they will save. The CURRENT values are not displayed, this is the issue.
Its recently changed maybe since 28.6.1, I did not make a note of release updates when it occured.
Whats the solution to getting the info panel working correctly again.
Hi @TriChas and @Barry Rudick! Thanks so much for pointing that out, and apologies for missing those details earlier. I have a much clearer picture now of what you meant. We've shared this with the rest of the team, confirmed the bug, and will be looking into it. I’ll also merge your thread with the other reports so we can keep everything organized in one place.
Really appreciate you flagging this and your patience while we work on it!
Alek

I just upgraded to Photoshop 26.9.0 (mac OS 13.5) and the Eyedropper is no longer showing before and after when you have a tool like curves open on the image. I tried the fixes of making sure all layers is checked, makeing sure Show Sampling Ring is checked, use Graphic Processor is checked. Nothing works. Is this a bug?
Could you share a screenshot of how the tool was working before the update and what you're seeing now? That’ll help us take a closer look and figure out what might be going on.
Thanks so much! Alek

[image: both.png] Top shows how it should work. Eyedropper and color sample values show before and with curve applied. Bottom doesn't show with curve applied

I encountered a problem where when using the color sampling tool, the information panel displays the final adjusted colors.
However, my friend's computer is Windows, and using the adjustment layer on her computer, she wants to display the contrast before and after the adjustment. Is this the difference between Mac and Windows? Or is it a problem with my settings? If it's a system issue, I hope Adobe can solve it.
