Photoshop release 23.3.0 crashes and quits when using the "Crop" tool. 

After selecting the "Crop" button the crop bars appear on the image normally, then Photoshop crashes and quits when you try to crop the image.

When PS crashes, the first thing to do is try resetting preferences. Press and hold Alt+Control+Shift (Windows) or Option+Command+Shift (Mac OS) immediately after launching Photoshop. Any difference?

That didn't help. I'm going to try re-installing Photoshop without "Keep" for the preferences this time.

I'm not seeing any submitted crash reports from you in our system. If you haven't done so already, please submit all Crash Reports along with your email address: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/submit-crash-reports.html That will help us diagnose the crash.

One thing to try: Go to Preferences > Performance... click Advanced Settings... and uncheck "GPU Compositing" - then restart Photoshop. Does the problem still occur?

I have same problem and the version is 23.3.1. I have tried different files but the problem stays. Also tried tips in the conversation. The whole program freezes and only ctrl+alt+del works. Program don´t want to send any crash reports. It just want do anything.

Please try the following:
Go to Preferences > Performance... and uncheck Multithreaded Compositing - and restart Photoshop. Does the problem persist? 

If this doesn't work, let's disable the GPU completely:
Go to Preferences > Performance... and uncheck Use Graphics Processor. Restart Photoshop. Does the problem persist?

A system crash usually means a low level failure such as a driver (bad video card driver, etc), failing hardware (hard disk, video card, etc.) or damaged OS installation. 
Also -@M.Silvast  It may help if we could see your Photoshop System Info. Launch Photoshop, and select Help >System Info...and copy/paste the text in a reply.

Did you disable GPU in preferences as suggested?

Yes i disabled it also. (GBU-koostaminen in finnish)

I'm also experiencing this with the crop function but with v 25.3.1. I've had the same persisting issue for about 6 months so this has been across many updates. I've tried the suggestions above and I'm still experiencing a frozen or very long loading bar when I try to crop a simple image.
