Problems with resize in photoshop via Mac Studio M2

I replaced my 2017 i7 iMac with a 32GB Mac Studio M2 Max. I was expecting a performance improvement, but I've been having trouble.

When I try to interpolate/resize the image from 60cm to 600cm and 75 dpi, using the “Image Size” command (Command+Option+i), the program crashes on “Rendering Smart Filters”, stops responding and stays like that for hours... I have to force the application to close.

I've already downgraded the Photoshop version, also from Sonoma to Ventura, opened it via the Intel version, also the beta version, and changed the details in graphic performance, but all attempts were unsuccessful. I'd like to know how I can get around the situation so that I can use the device.

Unfortunately, I'm still using my old iMac because Photoshop's performance on Mac Studio isn't working.

Hi there,

We're sorry for the trouble. Could you please update Photoshop to it's latest version via the Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop app also, upgrade macOS to its latest version. Once done, turn off the Graphics Processor from the Photoshop preferences, restart your machine and check if that helps to resolve the issue for you.

Thanks

Also, since when are you seeing this issue with Photoshop? Were you able to perform the same action in Photoshop? Take a look at the following article to make sure you are using the right process for image resizing in Photoshop: https://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop/resize-image.html

Thanks,
