Hi,

I'm hoping someone can tell me why jpg is not the standard saving anymore after the update in Photoshop 2023 24.01? Is there a setting I need to fix so that jpf isn't the default? Thanks for any help.

As Derek described - you'll want to select the legacy save as preference option

    I hope this helps

Use Save a Copy or change it back to the old system in Preferences under the File Handling tab.

This useful YouTube tutorial explains the reason for the change and the various options available:

    Hi,
Thank you. I don't see how to change the settings back though... What should be clicked? I don't see an option for jpg vs jpf.

Change it in Preferences. See the screen shot I posted. (Not jpf.)
