Activating CS3

Hi,

it took me abbout an hour to get here.

I boguht CS3 couple of years ago and wanted to activate it - doesnt work.

What I found out:

  • Adobe has shut down all activation servers for CS3.
  • Adobe telephone support for Germany is not working any longer.
  • The web address I have been pointed to by the phone number is useless.
  • Adobe Chat is offline.
  • Adobe wants me to buy a newer version. Obviuosly, I do not want to.

What can I do to activate my paid version of CS3? Any way I can do that?

    You have to create an Adobe ID. No ID - no help.

    2. You'll get this window:

    3. Download exactly your version - single app or suite.

    You already have an adobe ID so just enter the serial number from your cs3 in the field.

    If you don't know your serial, perhaps it's been registered to your account where you can find it:

    Download the non activation version of cs3.

    I also have tried many different ways to get back my CS3 . One of my problems is my SN is a 24 digit not an 8 digit SN. Can anyone help? I tried to re-install but got stuck on a file for Acrobat 8 and the system could not find it. Please help.

    You cannot ACTIVATE because the servers were taken offline.   Don't even try.  Nothing is to be gained from it.  It will never ever work.

    Read this correct answer again and follow the instructions very carefully.

    Re-activating CS3 (Updated)


    I have tried everything that was instructed. I got my Internet provider to try and he got me as far as new serial but my connection was not available so he told me that I have to get Adobe to change my account as if it was never registered. I appreciate you time and help and I'm sorry that I cannot get this to work. I will give your link a try again tomorrow.

    I'm not clear what you are saying. The instructions for downloading an activation-free CS3 version should be clear. If you have difficulties, it might be more useful to actually explain them rather than ranting about...
