Hi @Anshul_Saini  @Sameer K,

Use the "PugetBench for Creators" application can get positive result with 16G RAM.
Thanks for help.

Hey, @leon_6771. Welcome to the Photoshop Community. I'll need more info to help you figure this out. Press share the system info from Photoshop Help > System info > Copy & paste into a text document > upload & attach here.

Does this happen when you use Liquify without using the external plugin? Please check the workaround shared here: https://adobe.ly/41P1ItG

Let me know how it goes. Thanks!

Hi, @Sameer K,

This workaround "try setting remove tool to "More Stable" in preferences" is not effective for me.

Do you have suggestion ? Need to attach "Photoshop Help" info ? Thanks.

Thanks for sharing the system info. As per the logs, the GPU isn't fully recognized.

Follow these sets of troubleshooting steps:

Go to the location of the preference folder below and rename it to backup.

  • Windows 10/11: Users/[user name]/AppData/Roaming/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop [version]/Adobe Photoshop [version] Settings
  • You can press Press the Windows key > Enter 'Run' > Enter %APPDATA%\Adobe
  • Rename the Adobe Photoshop folder by adding a .old at the end. (Adobe Photoshop Beta > Rename > Adobe Photoshop Beta. old), You can restore these preferences later if needed.(https://adobe.ly/4860qM9)

The GPU info & Logs location on Windows is %APPDATA%\Adobe\CameraRaw. A shortcut to get to this folder on Windows is:

  • Press the Windows + R
  • Enter %APPDATA%\Adobe\CameraRaw

  • Rename the GPU & Logs folder in this directory by adding .old at the end. (GPU.old & Logs.old)

Let me know how it goes. Thanks!

Hello @Sameer K @, based on the setup you mentioned

  1. Add ".old" to the end of the "Adobe Photoshop Beta" folder name.
  2. Add ".old" to the end of the "GPU" and "Logs" folder names.

After renaming, re-test PlugetBench. The original file names in the path will regenerate automatically.
However, the experiment results still show a disk error. I’ve attached screenshots and additional information for your reference. Thank you!

Hi @leon_6771, thank you for sharing the system information. Here’s what I found:
 • You’re running Photoshop 26.9.0 on Windows 11 (24H2) with 16 GB RAM. Please update to the latest release v26.10.
 • GPU is listed as Intel(R) Graphics with ~8 GB shared memory, driver version 32.0.101.6127 from October 2024. This driver is about 10 months old. Please update to the latest version directly from Intel’s website.
 • Can you confirm whether Liquify works on a single image outside PugetBench? This will help us determine whether the issue is with Photoshop or is specific to the benchmark.
 • Since PugetBench pushes heavy memory loads, you may be hitting a limitation. Increasing physical RAM, or reducing Photoshop’s memory usage under Preferences > Performance, may help stability.
 • As a test, try unchecking Use Graphics Processor under Preferences > Performance. With only integrated Intel graphics, this may reduce errors during Liquify. As your configuration lacks a dedicated GPU.

Thanks again for your detailed testing and patience.

Best,

Anshul Saini

Hi @Anshul_Saini,

Update the VGA driver to 32.0.10.6987. This issue still can be duplicaed.

Thank you for sharing the additional details, @leon_6771. After reviewing your system info, here are some important points and next steps:

  • In your GPU section, multiple fields such as driver date and version appear as “Unknown.” This usually happens when Photoshop cannot read complete information from the Intel graphics driver. While not harmful by itself, it means Photoshop may not be able to fully optimize GPU usage.

  • This can contribute to instability in memory-heavy operations like Liquify, especially on systems with 16 GB RAM and no dedicated GPU. PugetBench stresses memory usage further, which may explain why you see the disk error in those scenarios.

  • Please confirm if Liquify works normally outside of PugetBench on a single image. This will help us distinguish whether the issue is Photoshop-wide or benchmark-specific.

  • As a test, try disabling GPU acceleration in Preferences > Performance and rerun Liquify. With integrated graphics, this can sometimes improve stability.

  • Also, check under Preferences > Performance > Memory Usage if lowering Photoshop’s allocated RAM percentage helps during Liquify.

Let us know the outcome of these checks so we can pass a complete report to the product team.

Best,

Anshul Saini
