Hej!

I've been struggling with this for so long now and I dont know what to do...

I've made a vector illustration in Illustrator and then afterwards I wanted to crop the image in Photoshop (something I have done many times before). But the picture is soo pixelated

I've tried to go through all the settings and even unistalling and then reinstalling photoshop...

Can someone please help? I've attached the orginal illustrator png (that the one thats not pixelated) and also the pixelated one..

Hi All,

This problem should be fixed after the Photoshop 19.1.2 update. You can install this update via Creative Cloud desktop app.

Also, you can refer the list of the fixed issues after the Photoshop 19.1.2 update, here: Fixed issues in Adobe Photoshop CC

This is my workflow so far, and this is what I have done many times, with success.

First I open illustrator. I just the Generelle screen size - 1366 x 768 px (see Picture 1). Then I copy the image that I have in a illustrator file called icons (where I save icons I made in illustrator that I often use), I then paste this image into the newly made artboard (the 1366 x 768 px) I just created (see Picture 2). I click  export and saves the image as an png by choosing the opition "Save for web" (see Picture 3).

I open Photoshop and choose the png I just saved (see Picture 4). I then crop the image and choose the option save for web (Picture 5).

When I link to the image in my html file, it comes out pixelated Ive done this many times before, but somehow it does not work now.

Hav you tried setting the Crop Tool to »Ratio« (and if there are values in the width- and height-fields hit »Clear«)?

Please state the pertinent information, like what is the psd-file’s resolution, how did you get the ai-file into it (converts, place a Smart Object, …) etc.

Also: Why »crop the image in Photoshop«?

I converted the Illustrator file into a png file, then I go to File, choose open and pick the png file from my Desktop, or I just drag the file in directly from the Desktop. The psd-file resolution is 118,11 as far as I can see (I've attached an image)? To be honest, this workflow usually just works, without me having to do much, so I never really consider the details :/ I want to crop the image, because I want to place it on a webside I am making in html and css. If the 'box' around the image is smaller, it makes it a lot easier.

I've done this befor with plenty of other images... :/

Are you using CC2018 latest release, if so there's a known issue with .png images
