Adobe Photoshop Help Book 2019 Revision?

The Adobe Photoshop Help book is a great reference guide. The flow is spot on with practical application in using Adobe. In all the books on Photoshop this has to be at the top of the list.

However, there have been a myriad of changes since 2019. Several of the new features are not addressed.

The best part of this it is free.

 Any initative underway to revise this book?

There is too much fluff to sift through on the site you reference above, at least for me. 

This is the reference book I am referring to.

This is one of those when you start using it is hard to put down. When you compare the two you will see what I am talking about.

@westdr1dw unfortunately that version of help documentation was the last edition and help docs were converted over to Adobe.com.

None that we're aware of. That document is probably the last of that era of Adobe software reference guides.

Some time ago, Adobe moved away from static PDFs to online guides, video tips and tricks and social media content which they consider to be more engaging and reach a wider proportion of their users. Plus they're probably cheaper and easier to update.

Therein lies the issue for Adobe. They want some ROI for their efforts in producing User Guides and tutorials. Hence their move towards online content and social media engagement.

Years ago when software was purchased off the shelf it came with a User Guide. Although this book has not been updated it is still an invaluable resource. You do not have to wade through the fluff to get to the info you are looking for.

Yep. Agreed on all points.

I too used to read the User Guides and buy related 3rd party books to learn each new version of the software.

But it was a lot of work producing those books, particularly when there were last minute UI changes which affected every screenshot in the books.

Unfortunately it seems that the world of structured, concise software User Guides has moved online and on to 3rd party learning sites such as LinkedIn Learning and Udemy.
