Question

Adobe - WT* is wrong with Photoshop CC 2019?

Issue 1: Having deleting Shift command in order to create proportionate scaling has messed up the user experience completely!

In order to get a straight line, one needs to press the Shift command. You don't see the confusion in this for the user?

How can you delete something that a user has been using for decades!!!

Issue 2: Any object outside the artboard, is no longer possible to bring inside the canvas unless using the transformed tool. WHY? You are forcing me to apply the transformation every time for moving an object? Earlier an object could have been simply selected and moved WITHOUT transformation on.

Having updates means creating new features not destroying what you already have! - FOOLS!

There is no transform tool in Photoshop and are you using artboards or just a regular document with a canvas? I have no idea what you are trying to do in your number 2 issue... you have an answer for number one. Can you post screenshots?

Still looking into the second issue. But for the first one, you can revert to the old way if you want.

To revert to the legacy transform behavior, do the following:

    1. Use Notepad (Windows) or a text editor on Mac OS to create a plain text file (.txt).
    2. Type the text below in the text file:

      TransformProportionalScale 0

    3. (Windows) Save the file as "PSUserConfig.txt" to your Photoshop settings folder. [Installation Drive]:\Users\[User Name]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC 2019\Adobe Photoshop CC 2019 Settings\

      (macOS) Do the following:
      1. Save the file as "PSUserConfig.txt" to the desktop.
      2. Control-click PSUserConfig.txt saved at the desktop and choose Copy from the pop-up menu.
      3. In the Finder, choose Go > Go To Folder. In the Go To Folder dialog box, type ~/Library/Preferences/Adobe Photoshop CC 2019 Settings/
      4. Paste the copied file at this location.
      1. Restart Photoshop.

As far as your second issue, what do you mean by bringing inside the canvas using the "transformed tool?" The Move tool? I can move any object just fine with the Move tool selected. Am I understanding this correctly? Sorry if this is a dumb question: Is Auto-Select turned on when you have the Move tool selected?

      Hi there,

I am also having issues with the transform tool since the update. I use it to straighten my property images and 1. it doesn't work the way it use to in that when I try to enlarge one aspect it enlarges the whole image and 2. it now softens the image considerably. While I believe I may have lost a little quality pre-update the loss of sharpness I ma getting now is making the images un-submitable. I can send examples if that would help?
