Anyway to get the old swatch palette back?

I don't want to have to click on a folder everytime I want to access a swatch. The beauty of Adobe over the decades was that they understood the concept, "why make a user click twice, when once will do." I guess the new generation of programmers grew up in the Microsoft ecosystem where multiple clicks were required to accomplish anything.

Please stop fixing things that aren't broke. Production time means money, please stop wasting mine.

It's easy to set up the Swatches (or Patterns, Gradients, Shapes, and Styles) panel the way  you want.

There's an area at the top of the panels, just below the "Recently used" bar, which acts as sort of a "user area", and can show items arranged as you like.

Open any of the Folders, select the items you wish to move, and drag them to the top of the panel. Watch for the blue-line insertion point.

Once to item have been moved out of the folder, the empty folder will remain, You can delete it or leave it; I leave it. It's pretty much a much more sophisticated and powerful version of the old Preset Manager, which looks quite clunky now.

I TOTALLY agree with you! AFAIK, there's no built in way to revert back to the old style (or enable it). But it would be a great suggestion to add to Adobe's Ideas list! You'll find a link to Ideas, at the top of the forum. Once you've entered it, encourage your colleagues to upvote it, so it gets Adobe's attention.
