Arrow keys not working with Contextual Text Menus/Palettes.

Another strange occurrence now that I upgraded - the arrow buttons on my keyboard no longer work within the text control panels. I used to be able to place the cursor in say, the text size or leading (or tracking) number boxes and adjust the increment boxes, but my arrow keys and adjusting the text incrementally no longer works. Any ideas whats happening here? This is incredibly frustrating.
