Auto Crop and Straighten over cropping

I am trying to use Auto Crop and Straighten to scan multiple scans of stamps. The Auto feature is cropping them too tightly (cutting off some of the edges of the stamps). Is there anyway to stop this by training or setting a margin around a crop?

One cannot »train« the operation (at least at current) and as the name »Crop and Straighten Photos« indicates it is targeted at photosgraphic images. 

 

Please post an actual scanned image, not a cropped one of just one. 

 

Depending on what you want to achieve ultimately you might be able to add a stroke that you later cover up in the clipped images to include space around the stamps but it seems risky.

Also this might run into problems with stamps that do not have white edges.
