Question

Balancing colour of photo.

Heres Watson, our 9 month pup (awwhh..) who likes to steal plant labels.

I'm struggling to balance the whole of the image with lighting and colour and I was wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction of how to do this? As you can see the right side of the photo is darker/duller than the left. If I lighten the right hand side it just looks dull and washed out. (Attached the unedited original as a JPEG as RAW is too high MB)

Thank you!

To be more specific, I know how to remove the shaded area of the right hand side. I was more refering to the colour of Watson himself where he is shaded more on the right as opposed to the left.

It's really just that the light is coming in from the left, so that the right is in shade. The shade is illuminated by reflected light, perhaps just a blue sky, so cooler than the direct light as well as lower level.

I'd just lift the right side very slightly with a gradient-masked Curves adjustment. Don't overdo it!

@WigglybumWatson you could try generative fill with no prompt, just make a selection of the affected area and apply gen fill

Oh I was more meaning the colour of Watson as opposed to the section on the right hand side, I should of been clearer
