Question

Can't upload .png file; get HTTP Error

I have Photoshop CC 20.0.3 and Mac Mojave 10.14.4.

When I uploaded a .png file today, I received an error that says the name of the file and then "HTTP error." I'm attaching a screenshot.

I searched the web and some people say that the "fix" is to upload a .jpg file instead. This doesn't help if I want to upload a .png file. Others suggest changes to the website's code. However, I have uploaded and published many .png files without a problem.

I don't see any posts addressing this problem in the forums.

Any suggestions?

How are you trying to upload you png files, where are you trying to upload the to. Which network protocol are you using that fails? Which application is popping up the message it seem to be using a web browser interface but does not identify what the error encountered was.  Just states there was a HTTP error.  There are many possible errors the can  happen.  Connecting to the server being authorized and transferring data etc. Are you using something in Photoshop to upload file to some web server?

Hi

I don't see this as a Photoshop issue, shouldn't you be contacting the owner of the website to see if there's an issue on their end

Oh, my gosh! I mixed up my support requests! I meant to send the message above to Wordpress, and another one here to ask if anyone knew how to tell if there's something corrupt with my image. I hope I can delete my message. If I can't, well, people can read this!
